Zebra Danio (Brachydanio Rerio)

This very active fish which is constantly on the move is a very popular fish with the beginner.
The colours could be silver or gold between the stripes but because it moves so fast it is hard to tell.An egglayer and quite easy to breed in their own tanks. When kept in community aquariums it is best kept in shoals of 6 plus.
Origin eastern India. Wwill grow up to 2 inches long.
Other types of danio are the Pearl, Leopard and Giant Danio.
